Most Dangerous Countries (based on the fatality rates per 100,000 people):

  1. Namibia
  2. Thailand
  3. Iran
  4. Sudan
  5. Swaziland
  6. Venezuela
  7. Congo
  8. Malawi
  9. Dominican Republic
  10. Iraq

Safest Countries:

  1. Maldives (only 2 fatalities per 100,000 people!)
  2. Tajikistan
  3. Malta
  4. Fiji
  5. Marshall Islands
  6. Israel
  7. Tonga
  8. Antigua and Barbuda
  9. The Netherlands
  10. Switzerland

You are probably relieved to not see the U.S. on the most dangerous list, but disconcerted to also not find it on the list of safest countries. The United States fell 97th on the list (right around the middle) with 14 fatalities per 100,000 people.
