- Unplug Before Bed: Start powering off your screen(s) an hour before bed. That means no TV, no computer, no tablet, and no cell phone. This helps your body separate itself from the constant stimulation these devices bring, enabling you to get a good night’s sleep and improving your focus the next day.
- Tune In: When you’re working and feel yourself starting to slump, pump up the jams. Avoid music with human voices as that can distract you, opting instead for classical, techno, or instrumental music to carry you through your afternoon slump.
- Get Moving: Go for a brisk walk—or better yet, a short jog—and you release endorphins, reduce stress hormones, activate more of your brain, and stimulate your body. As a result, you’ll feel powered up when you get back to your desk.
